Quick Copy mode is used by default. In this mode the program will copy (or move) only
sectors used currently for storing data. Supported are file systems listed in the table only.
Sector-by-sector copy mode lets you to copy all sectors of source partition/hard disk
including those which are marked as unused or bad. This mode is useful to copy partitions/hard
disks with partition-bounded software. In this mode the program can copy or move partition of any
file system.
3
While copying, resize function is also available. In the case of partition copy, you can
change the size of target partition. In the case of hard disk, the appropriate transformation of
partition sizes is possible in accordance with target hard disk size. Check the table for file
system support.

Recovery CD is bootable CD containing full functionality of the program and additionally
offering full access to all FAT, NTFS, Ext2 and Ext3 partitions on local hard drives. Even in the
case of unbootable system you can boot machine from Recovery CD, access important documents and
copy them in secure place, try to fix crashed operating system or perform any partitioning
operation. Recovery CD is different for different versions of the program (Recovery CD Personal -
Personal Edition, Recovery CD Professional - Professional, Server, Enterprise Server Editions).
5
Before fulfilling complicated partitioning operations with data transfer Partition Manager
checks hard disk surface for bad blocks
. But even good sectors adjacent to the one recognized as "bad" can also become bad in some time.
Special increased security treatment evaluates the probability of future errors on such sectors and
prevents the usage of dangerous areas on your hard disk, so your data will not get corrupted
afterwards.
